Football: Jardel's dedication.

MARIO JARDEL has been putting in an eight-hour day at Bolton's Euxton training ground in a bid to be fit for the Barclaycard Premiership.

The ex-Sporting Lisbon striker's dedication may see him on the bench against Blackburn tomorrow.

Brazilian Jardel is anxious to get his career back on track after a difficult final season in Portugal.

``Jardel is working very, very hard,'' said Bolton boss Sam Allardyce. ``He is doing three sessions a day, starting around eight in the morning and finishing around four.''
