Football: Hunter out as Rab runs a tight ship.
MURRAY HUNTER has been freed by East Fife so they can bring in his replacement.Cash-strapped manager Rab Shannon can't add to his squad despite the recent sale of striker Steven Ferguson to Tottenham which should net the club pounds 250,000.
He can only sign a new players by showing one the door and he hopes former Berwick and Clydebank hitman Hunter can be fixed up with a new club as soon as possible.
Shannon said: "I've told Murray he's not in my long-term plans and he's available on a free. He wants to stay in the professional game and hopefully he'll find another club quickly.
"When the transfer goes through I can bring in someone else to replace him and hopefully help strengthen the squad again."
