Football: HOW GUNNERS GET THROUGH.

WHEN teams are level on points, they are separated by head-to-head results, with away goals counting as a tie-breaker. If the teams are level there as well, then overall goal difference is used, followed by overall goals scored and finally the UEFA coefficient.

IF ARSENAL WIN TONIGHT:

The Gunners will be guaranteed a place in the knockout phase by beating Roma at Highbury. A score draw at Valencia in the final game would then be enough to finish top of the group.

IF ARSENAL DRAW:

A goalless draw would give leave the Gunners needing to secure more points in their final two games than Ajax to be certain of progressing. A 1-1 draw would leave the two teams level. Any other draw would give Arsenal the edge and needing only to match the Ajax points tally.

IF ARSENAL LOSE:

Arsene Wenger's men would have to beat Roma again to have any chance going into the final game in Spain, and would have to get at least a draw there to squeeze through.
