Football: Green backs referee in lights row.
Though the floodlights at Hampton Road were working, the lights in the dressing rooms kept cutting out and Tuesday night's match was called off without a ball being kicked.
Oldbury manager Bob Green said: 'We got to the ground at 6.30 and when we went into the dressing room and switched the lights on, they flickered and went out. One of our players Richard Taylor is an electrician and he managed to get the lights working but then they would cut out after 20 seconds.
'It was too dodgy to go into the dressing room --you can't put lives at risk. The referee certainly made the right decision.'
Oldbury will have Steve Wilkinson and Phil Male back in action today at table-toppers Stratford following their suspensions.
