Football: Gradi hits out at mean Dean; Crewe 1 Bolton 3.

DEAN HOLDSWORTH was at the centre of an amazing attack from Crewe boss Dario Gradi.

Super-sub Holdsworth had just scored a crucial penalty when he thumped into Crewe's young midfielder Kenny Lunt.

Gradi said: "It was a shocking challenge. I thought he had killed him."

Gudjohnsen blasted a shot that clipped off Wright to send the keeper the wrong way for the Bolton opener.

Rivers shot past Jaaskelainen to put Crewe level.

But Bolton went ahead with Holdsworth's second-half penalty and Jensen scored a glorious third.

Now Crewe may have to get something at Barnsley in their final game to be sure of survival while Bolton can still dream of gate-crashing the play-offs.CREWE: *KEARTON 8 - D Wright 5, Macauley 7, Walton 5, S Smith 6 - Lunt 6, Sorvel 6, Street 7, Little 6 - Rivers (wdrn) 6, Cramb (wdrn) 5.
