Football: Golden oldie? Gascoigne's reserve run-out.

He has strutted his stuff on the grandest stages, but last night Paul Gascoigne (above), the former England maestro trotted out at the Bucks Head in Telford for Wolverhampton Wanderers reserves.

Bedecked in the black and gold of Wolves, 'Gazza' looked a mere shadow of the national hero who dismantled Scotland at Wembley in the 1996 European Championship (right).

Gascoigne, who has been training with Wolves for the past few weeks, was unable to help the second-string side in their 3-1 defeat against Sunderland in the FA Premiership Reserve League (North).
