Football: Forlan forlorn after bad miss.

DIEGO FORLAN apologised to his Manchester United team-mates after committing what will go down as one of the worst misses in football history.

The Uruguyan fluffed an open goal from less than six yards after a defensive mix-up from Juventus.

The Pounds 7.5million striker, who screwed his shot into the side-netting, said: "I have to try to treat it as just another missed chance and move on. You can't afford to get too down about it but I'm sorry for my team-mates."
