Football: Fagan is not so mean; Hull 0 Colchester 2.

COLCHESTER scored twice in the space of four first-half minutes to bring an end to Hull's nine-match winning run.

Gareth Williams and Craig Fagan struck after 25 and 29 minutes respectively to deservedly take Phil Parkinson's team through against an off-colour Hull team.

The visitors took the lead when Greg Halford raced down the right and slipped a superb ball through for Williams to score with a superb first-time left-foot finish.

The away side doubled their lead when Kevin Watson's low corner found the unmarked Fagan, who scored with a right-foot shot that went in via goalkeeper Bo Myhill and a post.
