Football: Dog dines out on sports editor; DAZZA'S DAILY DIARY.

IT'S been a difficult opening start to the tournament for the English press. Particularly one sports editor, whose dinner was rudely interrupted on Thursday night when a stray dog bit him on the bum in a swish French restaurant!

Horrific enough - but even worse was to come when the victim pulled his trousers down in front of his fellow diners so the wound could to be examined.

And spare a thought for the sports editor who stunned his colleagues as they drew up their World Cup plans by insisting Togo was an abbreviation of Trinidad & Tobago.
