Football: DI CANIO DOES IT AGAIN.
FORMER Celtic star Paolo di Canio sealed a deserved point for West Ham with a stunning strike at the Valley last night.
The fact Italian hitman di Canio's goal was the one moment of true quality in the game and Frenchman Frederic Kanoute was man of the match will have been slightly disappointing for onlooking England boss Sven Goran Eriksson.
Charlton took the lead in seven minutes through South African hitman Shaun Bartlett. He latched on to a Paul Konchesky pass just inside the area for his third goal since arriving on long-term loan from Swiss side FC Zurich.
Di Canio, who was linked with a pounds 5million move to Lazio when Eriksson was in charge, levelled in the 74th-minute with another wonder strike from the edge of the box.
Redknapp - disappointed with the draw - hit back at claims Kanoute was set to leave Upton Park to further his career.
He said: "Frederic doesn't want to leave and we don't want to sell him."
Scotland star Christian Dailly made his debut for West Ham following a pounds 1.75m move from Blackburn Rovers.
