Football: Crewe 0 Swindon 1.

CREWE missed a golden opportunity to move five points clear in second place.

With their Welsh rivals losing to Colchester and Swindon with nothing to play for but pride, Crewe were expected to claim all three points, but were sunk by a Stefani Miglioranzi strike.

The midfielder's 25-yard shot squirmed through the flailing arms of Crewe keeper Clayton Ince deep into the second half.

Crewe's Kenny Lunt had missed a golden opportunity to score. Swindon'sAlan Reeves brought down Steve Jones in the area, but Lunt put the penalty onto a post.

The visitors were unfortunate not to be ahead before Miglioranzi struck, Steve Robinson's corner hitting Rob Hulse and only a Lunt clearance prevented an own goal.
