Football: Convey bid for break.

Byline: By STEVE GOODMAN

READING star Bobby Convey has urged his side to secure a Premiership place by March - so he can get a month off to prepare for the World Cup!

The USA winger has had an outstanding campaign for Steve Coppell's Royals, helping them build a runaway lead at the top of the Championship.

Convey, 22, a pounds 600,000 buy from DC United in 2004, said: "I just want to keep going, and touch wood have no injuries. And then I'll hopefully go to the World Cup.

"As it gets closer, I will be thinking about it, though obviously now it is more important to get in the Premiership.

"If we keep going the way we are now, I might even get the last couple of weeks of the season off."
