PRESCOT fielded five new signings for their first Uni-Bond League Premier Division game and got a well deserved draw.

Newcomer Carl Connolly nearly put Prescot ahead in the 25th minute when he left Frickley keeper Mark Shackleton flat-footed with a chip that came back off the bar.

Frickley went ahead when Wayne Benn curled a free-kick into the net on 37 minutes.

Prescot were on level terms within three minutes when Connolly scored from the penalty spot after Lee Cooper had been pulled back.

Prescot were reduced to 10 men for the final five minutes when Connolly was dismissed.
