Football: Cheltenham 1 Rochdale 1; Coca Cola LEAGUE TWO.

RICKIE LAMBERT grabbed a late equaliser to earn Rochdale a deserved point against play-off hopefuls Cheltenham.

The home side endured an off day, but still led at the break through Steve Guinan's powerful header from Gavin Caine's right-wing cross.

Rochdale's equaliser came with just seven minutes remaining when Lambert gathered a Simon Ramsden cross and coolly hooked a shot past Robins goalkeeper Shane Higgs from six yards to claim his 14th goal of the season.

The Dale striker nearly set up a winner minutes later with a brilliant run down the right wing, but sub Chris Dagnall's first time shot was blocked at point blank range by Higgs.

Stung into action, Cheltenham rallied in the dying minutes and saw a big penalty shout rejected after David Bayliss climbed all over Guinan.
