ASHLEY COLE last night admitted he relished shoving the taunts back down Manchester United fans' throats after Arsenal's dramatic spot-kick victory in the FA Cup final.

The Old Trafford faithful hounded the England full back in Cardiff with chants about his alleged tapping affair with Chelsea.

But Cole had the last laugh by slotting home in the penalty shoot out to help his side romp to victory.

He said: 'The United fans were trying to hammer me and get on my back and I wanted to shove it down their mouths.

'I've had the same abuse for three months now so it's normal. It's the best way to respond.

'It was a great team performance. We defended well and battled hard.'

Cole insisted he was happy at Arsenal and hit out at rumours he was set to move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

He said: 'I have two years left on my contract so there's nothing more I can do. A lot of the things written about me are not true
