Football: CLARIDGE TWO HOT FOR MILLERS.

Millwall 4 Rotherham 0

Millwall retained top spot after an emphatic thrashing of their fellow title contenders Rotherham.

The hosts totally overwhelmed their visitors in the opening exchanges and raced into an early lead when midfielder Cahill struck his eighth league goal of the season.

Millwall kept the pressure on and nearly went further in front when the Australian came close again.

But midway through the half Rotherham goalkeeper Gray was beaten for a second time when Ried hammered home to double the lead.

The visitors' plight went from bad to worse when they were reduced to ten men after Lee was sent-off for a second bookable offence, and moments later Claridge headed his first goal for the club.

After the restart Millwall were just as emphatic and completed the rout when Claridge chipped home from 25 yards to seal all three points.
