Football: Brady on mend say Blues.

BIRMINGHAM chairman David Gold is confident Karren Brady is well on the way to recovering from brain surgery.

The Blues managing director underwent an operation on a brain aneurysm last Friday and is out of intensive care and recuperating in a hospital ward.

According to Gold, Brady should not have to spend too long in hospital recovering from the risky surgery.

"She's gone through the operation. That's been a success," Gold said.

"After the operation you are expected to convalesce in the hospital for about 10 days but knowing Karren she will be out in five and that's the nature of the lady."
