Football: Berti vows to ignore Stutt's call.

Byline: ROBERT MARTIN

SCOTLAND boss Berti Vogts last night snubbed cheeky Stuttgart after the Germans claimed he owed them the low-down on UEFA Cup rivals Celtic.

Stuttgart President Manfred Hass had wanted to contact Vogts for a dossier on the Parkhead club when the Bundesliga side landed in Glasgow this afternoon.

And he reckoned that the Scots coach owed them one after choosing to sack Managing Director and Vogts arch critic Rolf Ruessman at the turn of the year.

He said: "Celtic are a tough side and any information on a weakness is vital for Stuttgart. I am sure Berti Vogts can give us some hints."

Vogts, though, told Mirror Sport last night he had no intention of doing such a thing, even if Hass does set his mobile ringing this

afternoon. And he revealed he will even be cheering on Martin O'Neill's men when the two sides meet at Parkhead tomorrow evening.

He laughed: "This is a joke - there has been no contact from Stuttgart. Manfred Hass hasn't got my number so I am not expecting a call from him.

"But if he does get in touch I will tell him I hope he and his team enjoy their time here but that my support is for Celtic and I hope to see them reach the last eight."
