Football: Ben's wing nuts; LIVERPOOL 1 SUNDERLAND 0.

RAFAEL BENITEZ has hinted he could be ready to offload Djibril Cisse in a bid to bring in a winger he so desperately craves.

After watching his team stutter to a win over Sunderland courtesy of a stunning free-kick Xabi Alonso, Benitez insisted his team is not yet balanced.

At Anfield on Saturday the Spanish manager used unsettled Cisse out wide on the right but it was a position the French striker seemed to hate.

And Benitez said: "You can use Cisse as a right winger, Luis Garcia can play there but I believe we need a new player.

"We tried Cisse wide on the right but it is not his position. We have to think about other possibilities but the solution is clear - we need another right winger."

Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy, who was raging Andy Welsh had been sent off for a non-existent tackle on Garcia, said: "It will be hard enough staying in this division without having things like that going against us
