Football: Bankrupt rumours hit Dens.

DUNDEE were last night refusing to comment on reports that they are on the verge of administration.

Dundee spokesman Niall Scott would say only: "For such a move to happen there would have to be a meeting of the club's board of directors. I am advised at this stage that no such meeting has been called for the remainder of the week."

Scott did, however, confirm that Dundee will not refund the pounds 37,500 deposit which Rangers paid for Zura Khizanishvili while they are weighing up an appeal over the tribunal decision to let Gers have the Georgian for free.

Scott said: "We remain confident of submitting a strong appeal and our understanding is that all transactions should be put on hold as a result."
