Football: Bandits outfire Outlaws; ALICE PETRICCA AROUND THE LEAGUES.

THE EXCELSIOR Division had a touch of the Wild West about it at the weekend, as the Bandits and the Outlaws went head to head.

In the event, it was St Andrews Bandits who rode away 2-1 winners thanks to strikes from Sean Ivens and Anthony Welsh; Ben Burton for St. Andrews Outlaws.

Elsewhere, St. Georges Dragons earned an impressive 3-0 win at Holy Rosary Rovers through Jonathan Pevie, George Schofield and Shaun Burke, while Hudson Rangers beat St. Andrews Panthers 5-0 thanks to Jack Harrison, Callum Dee, Liam Morgan, Liam Shaw and Adam Ranson.

Both Hudson Aces and Hudson Celtic earned hard fought 2-1 wins. Aces won at Lydiate Lightnings (Alan Jarvis) thanks to strikes from Mike Clark and Will Jones, while Celtic struck through Josh Smallman and Mikey Hutson's penalty in their win over St. Andrews Stingers (Callum Jones).

Holy Rosary Raiders hit a perfect 10 in the Academy Division, beating Lydiate Lynx 10-0 thanks to three from Jacob Bramhall, two each from Joe Rugin, Ben Short and Jack Lenehan and a Joe Dunne strike, while St. Georges Lions (Joe Shawcross, Liam and Sam White) saw off St. Andrews Rebels (Lewis Maxwell) 3-1.

All the St. Georges teams had good weekends, as the Eagles (Jacob Dooley 2, Charlie Ead-ie, Alex Forrester, Michael King, Lewis Swan-son, own goal) clipped the wings of Holy Rosary Hawks, winning 7-0, while the Tigers roared to a 6-1 win at Hudson Park (Sam Maguire) thanks to Tom Horrocks 2, Louis Reid, Elliot Murphy, Joe Carra-gher and Connor H arland.
