Football: BRUNO IS KO'D; Huddersfield Town 2 Blackburn Rovers 1.

MARK HUGHES had a night to forget as Blackburn crashed to defeat - and lost Bruno Berner to a suspected Achilles injury.

Berner limped off before half-time after falling in a heap in isolation. He could now miss the big kick-off and to make matters worse for Sparky, Rovers gifted Luke Beckett the simplest of goals in the 40th minute when Chris Samba tried to dribble out of his own penalty box, only to lose possession.

Hughes's misery increased when sub Morten Gamst Pedersen sliced wide from five yards before Beckett added a second 10 minutes from time. Jason Roberts' reply in stoppage time came too late to matter.
