COWDENBEATH grabbed third top spot through a Marc Millar goal in seven minutes.

Queen's Park had a chance in the first minute but Andy Carlin saved well from Richard Bowers' flick.

The Fifers took the lead after a mazy run and low cross from David Williams. Millar fired home from 10 yards.

Beath's Liam Buchanan was then unlucky with a shot that hit the inside of the post.

Early in the second half, Spiders' Mark Ferry hit the bar with a 25-yard shot.

Queen's fought to the end and Darren McGregor cleared a net-bound Ferry shot with Carlin beaten
