Football: Astley on way back.

GUILSFIELD chase much-needed points at Lex XI today as they attempt to ease their basement concerns in the Huws Gray Fit-lock Cymru Alliance. Struggling at second from bottom with eight points from 13 outings, the villagers have keeper Gareth Astley back after missing the last two outings with a knee problem, but defender Andrew Watkins is out with a hamstring strain.

Lex XI, hammered 6-0 by Aberystwyth Town in the Welsh Cup, will be keen to bounce back but are still hampered by the absence of striker Gary Penlington through suspension.

Mold, who returned to winning ways against Guilsfield last Saturday, look for more of the same against local rivals Flint Town United.

Barry Thomas is likely to keep his place following an impressive debut last week.

Dave Pitson is now available after making a brief appearance off the bench last week while Dewi Parry should also return at rightback.
