Football: Angel suffers injury setback.

ASTON VILLA striker Juan Pablo Angel could miss the start of the season as he is taking longer than expected to recover from a knee operation.

The Colombian, who last week signed a new four-year deal with the club, had surgery during the summer but his rehabilitation is not progressing at the speed manager David O'Leary would wish.

``We're way off what Juan Pablo should be and we've really got to bring him up to speed because he's missed a lot of training, '' said O'Leary.

The Villa boss also stated Angel has to play some part in tomorrow's friendly against Swedish club Jonkoping Sodra if he is to be considered for the Premiership opener.
