Football: All white on the night for Pounds 25m Becks.
The Pounds 25million midfielder looked uncomfortable when he was mobbed by flower girls during the pre-match formalities at the Workers' Stadium in Beijing.
But Becks was in his element when the real action got under way, showing off his range of passing and twice coming close with free-kicks.
He lasted 73 minutes and a comfortable Real win was wrapped up courtesy of Fernando Morientes' double and strikes from Luis Figo and Javier Portillo.
Former Manchester United No.2 Queiroz said: "Beckham did well, especially in the first half when all he wanted to do was help out the team.
"There is a sentence to define his performance - He played for the team."
Becks was also pleased to have completed his first run-out in the famous white shirt.
He said: "I enjoyed myself and felt very comfortable considering it was my first competitive game.
"This is due to the other players who have done everything to make me feel part of the set-up."
Dragons keeper Sun Gang swatted away a trademark free-kick from the England captain in 20 minutes before Ronaldo carved Real's opener with a fine pass which Figo converted.
Beckham then picked out Ronaldo with a superb crossfield ball but the out-of-sorts striker miskicked.
Another Beckham pass released Santiago Solari down the left and he cut the ball back to Raul whose shot was too close to the keeper.
Beckham was replaced by Albert Celades and moments later Morientes drilled home the second. He grabbed his second three minutes later and Portillo wrapped it up.
Madrid now head to Japan to face FC Toyko.
