Football: All poetry Bard by Pars chief Leish; CIS CUP FINAL HOOPS VERSUS PARS CLASH AT HAMPDEN PARK CELTIC V DUNFERMLINE TODAY Live on BBC1 SCOTLAND (Kick-Off 3 pm).
That's where the one time Bard of Kelty was exiled after being axed by Dunfermline 15 years ago.
But now big Leish is back in charge of his beloved Pars, and living the dream by taking the team to Hampden for today's Scottish League Cup Final against Celtic. Leishman said: "After I left Dunfermline I was with Rosyth Recreation and I took them to three cup finals, but lost them all.
"But if I hadn't gone there then I may never have had the chance to go to Meadowbank first and later when they became Livingston, and then come back to Dunfermline.
"The club is my life and if I wasn't managing them today I'd be going to Hampden on a supporters bus."
One regret Leishman (right) does admit to, is playing the fool as the Bard of Kelty in the mid eighties, when among the scalps his team claimed was the expensively assembled Rangers side managed by Graeme Souness.
He said: "Aye, all that poetry stuff ... I regret it. I was stupid, and I rose to the bait and time."
