Fond memories of 1960s Easter fair.

I NOTICED over Easter we had the usual fair for people to enjoy.

I can recall in the late 1960s when my late best friend James Stone got a motorcycle and we both enjoyed visiting fairs in our late teens.

We went to one in Bradford and I won a goldfish on the can shooting stall.

They placed the fish in the usual plastic bag to carry home and I won a goldfish bowl as well in another event.

There I was, a pillion on James' bike carrying the goldfish in one hand and holding on with the other.

I don't know who was more shaken up when we got home - me or the fish.
