Foley & Lardner.

Foley & Lardner, a law firm based in Tallahassee, Fla., has pulled in Florida's Solicitor General, Christopher Kise, from the public sector to head its national appellate practice, as well as join the litigation department and white-collar practice. Kise has handled cases before the Florida Supreme Court involving constitutional challenges to Florida's voting precinct requirements. He also defended the lobbyist gift ban and compensation disclosure law at the trial level.

The firm has also added Joseph Colaneri to its Washington, D.C., office. Colaneri serves as public affairs director and member of the firm's government and public affairs practice and the energy industry team, a newly created position at the firm. Colaneri left his position as the director of government affairs at the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association, where he was replaced by Jim Riley.
