Foldermail announces launch of service.
INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTDFoldermail, a new managed Internet data delivery service, has launched.
According to the company, Foldermail is a secure and traceable data delivery technology for sending and receiving large files and complete folders with no size limit. Foldermail reportedly runs in the background and can be integrated into Microsoft Outlook, but it can minimise the impact of heavy data loads by avoiding peak traffic times and preventing unnecessary duplication when sending the same item to multiple recipients. In addition, Foldermail retains complex directory structures, which makes it suitable for software development, data backup and software, patch or update distribution.
When a foldermail is received, no data is transferred until the user has accepted the invitation that provides information about the files and folders being sent. Foldermail also features progress tracking that enables users to check the delivery status of all sent and received transfers, the company claims.
Complete corporate solutions reportedly start from under GBP1,000. No other pricing details were disclosed.
