Folded club is reborn.

A NON-LEAGUE football club from Northumberland is beginning to get back on its feet after folding.

Belford Football Club, formerly members of the North Northumberland League, went out of existence at the end of last season, but is being revived.

Ross Thompson and Walter Dunn are actively rebuilding the club.

Ross said: "We have some 12 people training now, which is pretty good considering we're not in any league at the moment. Our aim is to get back into the Northumberland League for next season."

Walter added: "We are being sponsored by Ramages Windows and the Salmon Inn in the village and are attracting younger players, plus players from last season are coming back.

"We'll be having fundraising events and raffles etcetera to help buy equipment, but we also need a manager for next season."
