Fog on the Tyne is mine and the fans'.
I am now a living antique. I was there the last time Newcastle won a trophy, the Fairs cup in '68. Since then I've endured four failed Wembley finals, a semi final, a 12 points premier lead throw away, the '72 Hereford cup farce of farces, and now the euro flop. Before the Marseilles game Sir Bobby, left, was quoted as saying "we have nothing to lose." Pardon? And as for praising the side after the game...for what? Losing? I gave up on Newcastle after the directors /News of the World scandal, but you never really give up on Newcastle even if you want to. I wonder who is most disappointed? Shearer who's won nowt there in eight years, or fans like myself who've won nowt in 35?
