Flower arrangers celebrate 50 years; Picture special.

MEMBERS of a flower arranging society were blooming at its 50th anniversary celebration.

The Huddersfield Flower Club celebrated with 70 members of the group attending a party.

They welcomed Tony Cleaver, the North East president of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies.

All members were presented with a gold rose to mark the golden anniversary and a piece of cake after the party at the YMCA at New Hey Road, Salendine Nook.

The sociable group meet on the third Wednesday of every month at theMethodist Mission at Lord Street.
