Flotronic pumps are not telling 'porky pies'. (News & Installations). (Pork Farm Bowyers).
The two 2.5" Good Food are at the Nottingham site. They handle a range of fillings such as chicken tikka, cheese and ham and smokey bacon.
Traditionally these products were pumped using twin screw vacuum assisted pumps which took a long time to clean and suffered excessive wear problems.
The pumps transfer the fillings from a hopper, which gives the pumps a flooded suction into a header tank over the filling lines. The Good Food pump is designed for either quick strip or CIP applications where hygienic design is critical. Manufactured from either 304 or 316 stainless steel with virgin PTFE elastomers, with flowrates up to 600 litres per minute and temperatures up to 120[degrees]C, they are ideal for handling shear sensitive and delicate products with minimal damage.
