Florists Encourage Lovers to Leap into Valentine's Day This Year!

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Because Valentine's Day falls on a Monday this year, florists throughout Minnesota want to be sure that lovers leap to get their flower orders in early!

"There will be an extremely high volume of orders to be delivered on Monday," said North Central Florist Association President Paul Bachman. "If a customer wants a Valentine's gift delivered to a business on Monday, it is important to place the order by Friday."

Bachman explained that all orders should be placed as early as possible and encouraged Saturday or Sunday delivery. The recipient can then enjoy the flowers for the weekend and all day on Valentine's Day. Otherwise, there is a chance they might not receive the flowers until late on Monday or even Tuesday, according to Bachman.

Valentine's Day is considered to be the second busiest floral holiday next to Mother's Day. The last time the holiday occurred on a Monday was in 1994.
