Floor-model centrifuge offers high-level security.

Optima X Series preparative ultracentrifuges from Beckman Coulter incorporate an array of contemporary technical features to enhance the user experience, increase productivity and reduce costs. The floor-model instruments also incorporate the proprietary technology used in earlier models. A large touchscreen display on all series products offers a selection of nine languages so researchers can work in their native language. The screen is big enough to be visible from across the lab and is easy-to-operate, even with gloved hands. A clean design and on-screen help make it easy for even new users to quickly get acclimated and working. Real-time graphing plots speed and temperature over time as a run progresses. The ultracentrifuges reach a maximum speed of 100,000 rpm and generate forces up to 802,000.x g. Beckman Coulter, Inc., 714-993-5321
