"Flickers of True Destiny" is a quirky, sensitively written fairy tale with a twist or two and a good surprise ending. Written as an illustrated chapter book, "Flickers of True Destiny" will appeal to a select audience of children with heightened imaginations and special questions to answer. The heroine is GG a small 8 year old girl with a flair for detective work who lives with her aunt in an old-fashioned town named Pickleberry. GG loves a special tree house built for her by her grandfather many years ago. In search of the cause for a wanton destruction of the interior of the tree house, GG encounters a true adventure. The tree house serves as an entry way to a fairyland where GG has many wonderful experiences, some scary and some inspiring. "Flickers of True Destiny" is a tale about finding one's true identity, and it is told with delicacy, grace, and style. Intricate black and white illustrations enhance the story's flow, and GG's colorful search becomes as entrancing as the entrance to fairyland. "Flickers of True Destiny" will appeal to girls age 8 and up.
