Flexible work plan helps law firm.
CORPORATE law firm Muckle LLP boosted its revenue by PS500,000 last year after increasing its rental income and promoting agile working among its staff.
The firm saw its total income rise from PS10.8m in 2017 to PS11.3m in the year to March 31, 2018.
The increased income was partly achieved after the firm boosted rental income to PS264,000, up from PS185,000 during the previous year. The boosted figures came at the same time as Muckle created more space within its base at Time Central, in Gallowgate.
Jason Wainwright, Muckle's managing partner, said: "We recently moved all our employees onto one floor, creating one large openplan office with all our legal teams working closely together under one roof.
"Since then we have actively encouraged agile working with a focus on improving everyone's work-life balance."
Fee income at the firm also rose by a healthy 3.8%, from PS10.59m to PS11m. The firm said this was achieved after it won a number of new clients throughout the year.
Operating profit at the firm increased from PS1.2m to PS1.88m. Net profit - the figure available to be paid to the equity partners - jumped from PS1.19m to PS1.87m.
