Flats refusal; Yourview.

YOUR reader's comments about high-rise flats were way out of line.

The notion that all high-rise flats should be demolished as they create poverty and violence is absolute nonsense. Anyone thinking that by housing people in leafy suburbs, life would be a bed of roses is seriously deluded.

It matters not a jot where you live - violence knows no boundaries.

Whether you live in this country or anywhere else in the world, if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, it's game over.

Margaret Sinclair, Glasgow HANDING out money for building better houses and demolishing these high rise flats, is a bit of 'pie in the sky' given the lean times ahead.

We would all like to go back to the times when community spirit was everywhere but it seems to have disappeared off the planet.

It also seems to be that the poor areas get a lot of flack but just remember, there are some 'posh' areas that are anti-social as well but never get highlighted as much. It is what you make of life and the effort you make that gets you places, not where you come from.
