Flag business: In a speech in Tehran last week, President Ahmadi-nejad said it was wrong to disparage the flag of any country. He appeared to be criticizing hardline Iranians, who love to burn the US flag. In many places, a US flag has been painted in front of doors so that people walk on the US flag before entering. But Ahmadi-nejad said, "All nations respect flags. From the standpoint of other nations, the flags of other peoples are respectableO. The flag of no nation should be pulled down or trampled upon." The president did not indicate what prompted his new position.
