Five years' school and not a day sick.

DAVID Jones has left school with a remarkable record. The 16-year-old,pictured,has not missed a single day since he started five years ago. Yesterday his achievements were rewarded by the head teacher of Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern,Anglesey.

David, from Llanfachraeth, said:``I don't know how I did it. It seems I get all my colds during the school holidays.'' A school spokeswoman said David was awarded certificates from the school annually for his full attendance. ``But this rare achievement of not missing a day in five years was recognised with a special presentation made before the whole school at its end of term ceremony.'' David has a chance to extend his remarkable record during the next two years as he could return to the school inSeptember to start A-levels. ``I don't know yet if I will be at Bodedern or at Coleg Menai in Llangefni,''he said.
