Five women receive Katharine F. Erskine awards.

Five women received the Katharine F. Erskine Award given by the YWCA of Central Massachusetts during the annual Tribute to Women at Mechanics Hall in Worcester. Recipients and categories were: Penelope Johnson for arts and humanities; Judge Carol Erskine for business and law; the Rev. Sarai Rivera for community/social service and government, June Eressy for education, and Dr. Judith Ockene for medicine and science. The awards are given annually in recognition of the late Katharine Erskine, an advocate for women for 80 years.
