Byline: IAN HYLAND'S TV DIARY He writes about telly.. weekly

Five weeks into the Changing Rooms reboot, how are things going? Well, since you ask, this week one of the designers smeared poo-brown paint across a white wall using a yard brush.

I'm not sure whether this "dirty protest" was born out of Jordan Cluroe's frustration at being contractually obliged to use gallons of Dulux product EVERY WEEK, or whether it was simply a brief critique of the show so far.

At this point I'll accept either.

More bad news for GB News. Even its national frontman Nigel Farage is haemorrhaging viewers.

I do have a solution though. The owners should just close the channel then take the three years' worth of funding they have set aside and use it to pay for the workers to retrain as HGV drivers instead.

Some of them might even end up working fewer hours.

Adrian Dunbar says he'd love to star in a sitcom one day. Eh? Did he not watch the most recent series of Line Of Duty?
