CORRECTION (ran 4/23/04): Sheldon's Matt Fitzgerald won three events as the Irish boys' track team defeated Lebanon in a Midwestern League dual meet Wednesday. A headline in Thursday's sports section on Page E4 incorrectly identified Fitzgerald's team.
Matt Fitzgerald won three events, and Jeff Erb and Keith Best won two each as Sheldon dominated visiting Lebanon 99-46 in a Midwestern League boys track and field dual meet on Wednesday.
Fitzgerald won both hurdles races and the 200. Best won the long and triple jump, and Erb won the 100 and 800.
Michael Kehr (200 and 400 meters) and Brian Moore (triple and long jumps) picked up two wins each to lead Springfield past Churchill 75-69 in a dual meet hosted by the Lancers.
Junction City sprinter Shin Dong Woo led the way with victories in the 100 and 200 meters as the Tigers scored 83 points to win a three-team Sky-Em meet at Marist.
Sheldon won 15 of 17 events while routing visiting Lebanon 123-22 in a Midwestern League meet.
Emmy Greatwood (discus and javelin), Amanda Bryant (100-meter hurdles and pole vault) and Kelsey Provo (100 and 200) won two events each for the Irish.
