Fitch Takes Various Actions on 8 Health Insurers.

CHICAGO -- Fitch Ratings today has updated its Quantitative Insurer Financial Strength (Q-IFS) ratings for 8 health insurers.

Fitch is affirming the ratings of UCare Minnesota, DC Chartered Health Plan Inc, and Texas Children's Health Plan. Fitch is also upgrading the rating of Lovelace Sandia Health Systems.

At the same time, Fitch has also withdrawn the ratings for four companies that no longer meet Fitch's criteria to be eligible to receive a Q-IFS rating.

Fitch has affirmed the following Q-IFS ratings:

DC Chartered Health Plan Inc (NAIC Code 95748)

-- Q-IFS 'BBq'

Texas Children's Health Plan (NAIC Code 95329)

-- Q-IFS 'BBBq'

Fitch has upgraded the following Q-IFS rating:

Lovelace Sandia Health Systems, Inc (NAIC Code 95808)

-- Q-IFS 'BBq' from 'Bq'

Fitch has withdrawn the following Q-IFS ratings:

Molina Healthcare of Indiana Inc. (NAIC Code 12249)

-- Q-IFS 'Bq'

MDNY Healthcare Inc (NAIC Code 95476)

-- Q-IFS 'CCCq'

Physicians Health Plan of Southwest Michigan (NAIC Code 52569)

-- Q-IFS 'BBq'

Wellcare of New York Inc (NAIC Code 95534)

-- Q-IFS 'BBq'
