Fishing theft.

Two North East men caught stealing valuables from a fisherman in Scotland have been jailed.

Gary McArthur and Dean Winlow, both 21, of South Shields, had been drinking all day when they were arrested in May after stealing from a fisherman at the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, a Sheriff court in Stranraer, Scotland, heard.

McArthur, of Bruce Close, and Winlow, of Bunyan Avenue, both pleaded guilty to theft of fishing equipment, a mobile phone, a wallet, a radio fascia and several items of clothing.

They were sentenced to 55 days in prison.
