First-crop debuts; PEDIGREE POINTERS.

JUVENILES from the first crops of Diamond Green and Proclamation feature among the 24 two-year-olds entered at the five day stage for the first two-yearold race of the year, the Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster.

Diamond Green and Proclamation are responsible for two entries apiece. Other first crop sires bidding to get off the mark are Byron, Iceman, Ivan Denisovich, Kodiac, Librettist and Majestic Missile.

By far the most expensive entrant is the Richard Faheytrained Chiswick Bay, who sold to Gill Richardson at the DBS St Leger Sale for pounds 90,000.

Last year's Brocklesby Stakes fell to Hearts Of Fire, who ended his season by taking the Group 1 Gran Criterium and is now a 33-1 shot for the 2,000 Guineas.
