The sister of a pedestrian killed in a hit and run on the North Circular has paid tribute to her brother five days after he died.

Yussuf Adebiyi was killed in a crash involving two black BMWs just after 3am on the A406 inNeasdenon Monday (May 20).

Police were tracking two cars they believe were involved, and have now revealed they are both BMW 5-Series cars, with similar registration numbers: EX66 TZE and EX66 TZV.

At least one of these cars crashed into Mr Adebiyi, injuring him so badly that he died at the scene. Detectives think one of the cars will have significant damage to the front of the car including the bonnet and windscreen.

A forensics tent was placed in the normally very busy road. A pair of black flip flops reportedly lay discarded on the road outside the tent.

Although he has not yet formally been identified, his next of kin have been informed and a picture of the local Neasden man was released by police on Saturday.

He sister said: "I have lost my only brother. He was a gentle giant who loved his music and I am going to miss him so much.

"I want the person who did this to do the right thing and hand themselves into the police."

Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance all attended the crash but were unable to save Mr Adebiyi. Police closed the road from 3am until noon that day, causing major traffic issues across North and West London.

Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating whether one or both BMWs crashed into Mr Adebiyi, and are appealing for witnesses and people with dash cam footage of the collision to get in touch.
