First judicial conference recommends independence of judiciary.

Damascus, (SANA) -- The First Judicial Conference, held by the Ministry of Justice on Monday, recommended the independence of the judiciary and continuing the process of automating it due to the importance of this process in facilitating the judicial procedures.

Participants in the conference called for continuing the process of judicial reform and developing work at the legislation and state issues departments.

They agreed to hold the upcoming judicial conference on October 7th, 2014, as they focused on the issues of judicial reform, drafting decisions and judicial rulings and the relationship between judges and lawyers.
