First Saturday of September may be declared World Barbeque Day.
Yerevan. The first Saturday of September may be declared the World Barbeque Day. "Maintenance and Development of
Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO will come out with the relevant initiative.
Sedrak Mamulyan, Chairman of the "Maintenance and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO, has told ArmInfo
that a barbeque festival will be held in Akhtala (Lori region, Armenia) on that day. This year the festival will be held for the fifth time
and will gather together thousands of people.
Mamulyan does not rule out that Akhtala may be declared the World Barbeque Center as the most ancient settlement hosting
barbeque festivals. For that purpose, the NGO will apply to various international culinary organizations and barbeque associations.
